Description

The Ethnographical museums with their collection of artefacts and related knowledge on socio-religiouos and economic pursuits have made multi - ethnic society into a new modern vision. The cultures of various ethnic groups have been displayed wholistically. The cognative ideas have become a part of the social structure of the communities. A rersearcher before conducting a fieldwork can learn a lot from the displays and displayed symbolic ideas through objects. The new research always move further in developing new concepts and theories. In this way the community is neither displayed alone nor only in discription but with relations to surrounding groups. Today when ethnic groups are waning with their traditional knowledge and even spoken languages it is an appropriate time when museum as an institution becomes at least a reflection of communities. Museum collections and researches can be suuplemernt to enhance the science of Ethnography and Anthropology in their various phases. With international ethnic examples the paper will focus on urgent ethnographical museum research. Ethnography can be divided into various sections according to the social structure of the communities. it is a base to develop the world solidarity where people can respect each other's cultures. The developing countries where westernization has become very speedy the ethnic cultures are shifting to a modern way of living and discarding or ignoring to heir traditions and cultural heritage. Let us hope the museums become a supplementary required scientific infiormation and help to enhance the science of anthropology.
