Making weaves out of stinging nettle called Thebvodo is an artistic activity whose origins can be traced to the Bronze Age. While the Germans used it during both World Wars, the British attempted to go commercial. Today, Solhou-ii Mekru is a guradian of this dying art and she continues to weave thebvodos courced from nature, finished by her hands and untouched by machines.
